red_room.jpgProfessional funnyman Brian Posehn made a comedy album called Live In: Nerd Rage. It contains some unedited bits that you know and love from the CoC, as well as some stuff that was not featured on that program.

Brian Posehn - "Dork for Thirty Years" [NSFW companion video]
Brian Posehn - "Movie Ruiners/The Unholy Trilogy"
Brian Posehn - "Yelling Stuff"

I tried to leave Bri-Bri a message but some effer thwarted my plans. (My theory: it was hacked by Maria Bamford.) In lieu of a text message, I would like to dedicate this song to BP:

Hellsongs - "Run to the Hills" [Här ligger tillgängliga demoversioner av gudomlig loungemetal!]

*The title for the image embedded within this post is: "The Grady sisters from The Shining go goth and stand outside the Twin Peaks Red Room with that dork from Just Shoot Me."

Update from Posehn on the OOPness of Nerd Rage:

Here's what happened: I made a batch to sell at shows and at my website instead of dealing with a comedy label. Sparkiepop was sending them out for me, and they sold a lot quicker then I thought they would. Thanks to everybody who bought one.

I recently signed to Relapse with the idea of doing more metal related stuff down the road, but first we decided to reissue Nerd Rage with some added material. It was just going to be this small thing until the Relapse deal happened. Now they'll get me in great record stores around the country and itunes and places in other english speaking countries. I recorded two funny songs with a metal super group featuring my good friend Scott Ian(who wrote the music) and Jon Tempesta on drums(Testament, Rob Zombie, Helmet) and Joey Vera(Armored Saint, Anthrax) on bass. I got guitar solos from Jon Donais from Shadows Fall and Russ Parish from Metal Skool. I also recorded a Titannica sketch with Odenkirk and Aukerman. Nerd Rage with the new material and new liner notes and photos will be available soon.

Sorry about the lack of cds now, but I decided not to make more on my own in the meantime, because I didn't want to put out another batch without the bonus stuff. I didn't want fans to think I'm trying to take all their money. For those people who already bought one, the extra material will probably be available in single form and definitely on i-tunes. I'll make an official announcement when we have the release date. [via -- where else?! -- AST]

Posehn on The Last Christmas, issue #1 available at your favorite local comic book shop today!:

"I would say to them “Do you like Zombies? Do you like gunplay? Do you like Santa Claus? Do you like midget jokes? If you like two of these things, you’re gonna love it. If you like all four of these things, you’re gonna really f**king love it.” That’s who we’re writing it for: people who like all four of those things."

I think our resident penny picking metalcore kid needs to hop on the next flight to L.A. and help Posehn out.

Warning: certain video participants will be asked to jump into a vat of acid. Twice.

This isn't the news. It's a music video.

"I got kicked out of a club downtown for singing Kenny Rogers' The Gambler, death-metal-style. I was just screaming, and this Korean gentleman who ran the place was not amused. He yelled, 'You're banned for life!' in my face."
