I was gonna QV this one and my SL would have been:

You were my choice.

Good one. Sounds like we had similar SL strategies: it doesn't make sense to go with any of the joke punchlines, since those are joke punchlines. But since the article's basically straight, you kinda have to go for a S. Silverman Summation thing.

While reading the piece, I had "stubbed" in the SL placeholder position. Kinda joke punchline-y, but still kinda worth it just for the deliciousness of the unrevealed joke.

see, i would have gone with "cigarettes and brisket" because that is what my balls smell like too.
