I designed your web site and all I got was this lousy t-shirt

As a parting gift from a recent client, I received a t-shirt with a nifty little comic on it that included the definition below**. Some of you have probably seen this before, but I never had, and having just gone through an entire project life cycle from requirements to design to testing to deployment, it cracked my shizz up. And, yes, I'm exhausted, so this might not actually be funny ...
Working as Designed :: jargon (IBM) Conforming to a wrong or inappropriate specification; useful, but misdesigned. Frequently used as a sardonic comment on a program's utility or as a bogus reason for not accepting a criticism or suggestion. At IBM, this sense is used in official documents! **Note: This definition is easily found if Googled, and is directly attributed to IBM. FACE. |

It's a pretty comic, too. Who drew?

Actually, this comic has been around since the mid '80s ...
